According to a report from Football.London, West Ham striker Albian Ajeti has a bleak future in east London.
The Switzerland international joined the Hammers from FC Basel in the summer of 2019 for around £8.5 million (Football Insider).
The 23-year-old has desperately failed to establish himself at the London Stadium, however.
In fairness to Ajeti, he hasn’t been given much of a chance to prove himself. But his stats still make for grim reading.
In 11 appearances for West Ham, the Swiss striker has failed to rack up either a goal or an assist (Transfermarkt).
In eight Premier League appearances, the 23-year-old has attempted just two shots, with an accuracy rate of 0%. He has also made just 15 passes during those outings (premierleague.com).
It has been clearly evident that Ajeti has struggled with the pace and ferocity of the English game. He has only been given a few minutes here and there in the Premier League. But the early signs are not good.
And Football.London claims that the former FC Basel striker seemingly doesn’t have a future at West Ham.
In truth, there probably wouldn’t be too many Hammers fans who would be sad to see Ajeti leave, if he is in fact moved on in the summer.
