West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is clearly desperate to bolster his centre-forward department before the start of the new season.

The Hammers have sold Marko Arnautovic and released Andy Carroll, leaving them very short in the attacking department.

According to Sky Sports, West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt hitman Sebastien Haller.

Well-renowned insider ExWHUemployee claims that the idea is to bring in another striker as well as the Frenchman, however:

Quite who Pellegrini will bring in, however, remains to be seen.

Portuguese outlet A Bola claims that the Hammers want Porto hitman Moussa Marega. Whilst the Northern Echo suggests that Salomon Rondon remains a target for the east London outfit.

West Ham have plenty of exciting and creative attacking midfielders, so bringing in two established strikers will be crucial to the next stage of their development.

And if the Hammers manage to sign Haller as well as another decent front-man, they could be in for a really successful campaign next term.

Getting the names through the door will be easier said than done, however.
