Reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has suggested that the Hammers are calling for the current Premier League campaign to be cancelled and rendered null and void, with Leeds and West Brom being promoted to the top flight for next season. Obviously the London Stadium faithful would be delighted with this outcome, whilst Liverpool fans would be seething.

West Ham have experienced a woeful campaign thus far, and they are currently sitting just outside the relegation zone. Liverpool, meanwhile, have been almost invincible. Jurgen Klopp’s men are romping away with the league title, 25 points clear of second placed Manchester City.

In the Championship, Leeds are flying high at the top of the table, with West Brom following closely behind in second.

Hammers insider ExWHUemployee claims that the powers that be at West Ham are calling for the current campaign to be cancelled, with Leeds and West Brom being promoted to the Premier League:

And Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law backed Ex up by suggesting that more clubs are calling for this outcome as well:

If the current season were to be cancelled and rendered null and void, Liverpool fans would be distraught.

Surely there is a better solution?

Peoples’ health is obviously more important than football. The world’s most popular sport does have a huge affect on peoples’ lives, however.

A cancelled season, with Leeds and West Brom gaining promotion, would make Liverpool fans think destiny really is against them.

Although Whites and Baggies fans would be overjoyed.

And so would West Ham fans.

The sensible option still seems to be playing the season out to its conclusion. Whether that ends up being possible, however, remains to be seen.
