The Hammers have been hit by the news that Jeremy Ngakia could be set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June (Claret and Hugh).

So the news regarding Chesters will be very welcome indeed for David Moyes.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is highly thought of at the London Stadium.

Having started his youth career at Stevenage, Chesters moved to West Ham after being scouted by Arsenal.

And the teenager has enjoyed a very successful campaign for the Hammers’ under-18’s this season.

He has racked up one goal and five assists in 17 appearances thus far (Transfermarkt).

Chesters is an attacking central midfielder by trade. But he has been deployed out wide more often than not over the past 12 months.

The young Hammers star is a big fan of Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne. And he has admitted that he idolises the Belgian (WHUFC.com).

Let’s just hope that he goes on to emulate the 28-year-old City ace.

ExWHUemployee has shared some good news this morning, suggesting that Chesters is set to sign a new deal with West Ham:

And that really would be a massive boost for the east London outfit.
