West Ham travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United in the Premier League tonight.

The Hammers will have to be on their very best form against the Blades, if they are to have any chance of taking a positive result with them back to east London.

BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson thinks West Ham will earn a point tonight:

“New West Ham boss David Moyes has two wins out of two so far, but after beating Bournemouth and Gillingham, this is a much bigger test. Sheffield United beat AFC Fylde in the FA Cup last time out but they have lost their past two Premier League games. I am going to go for a draw here.”

Lawro’s prediction: 1-1

And Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas agrees:

“It has been a decent start for David Moyes at West Ham. They didn’t play well at Gillingham but got the job done. They have kept two clean sheets, which Moyes works hard at. West Ham will squeeze and play more back to front. They got a bit more from Felipe Anderson. Sebastien Haller will continue to play I think, and West Ham will get something.”

The Hammers look like a totally different side under David Moyes. They seem to be working harder, pressing from the front and are much more organised defensively.

West Ham have won their last two games – at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League and away to Gillingham in the FA Cup third round.

So they should be full of confidence heading into tonight’s game against Sheffield United.

In truth, however, the Hammers would probably settle for a point tonight. Chris Wilder’s men have taken the Premier League by storm this season.

The Blades have lost four out of 10 games at home this term, however, so they are in no way infallible at Bramall Lane.

The game kicks off at 20:00 and can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports.
