Aston Villa boss Dean Smith spoke to reporters today, and took time to praise West Ham striker Sebastien Haller.
The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in July for around £45 million.
And he has made a fine start to life in England. He has bagged three goals in three games for West Ham thus far.
Haller seems to have all of the ingredients needed to succeed in England, and if he continues to improve, he will undoubtedly go on to be a real hit at the London Stadium.
The Frenchman will be looking to keep up his excellent work on Monday night when the Hammers travel to the west Midlands to take on Aston Villa.
And Villans boss Dean Smith offered high words of praise for Haller, when speaking to reporters today, as quoted via the club’s official YouTube account:
“Haller up front, he looks a really good centre-forward. They paid a lot of money for him. He’s got a couple of good goals already, and he looks a real handful.”
West Ham have not had a striker score 20 goals or more in a season since Tony Cottee did it in 1987.
Haller is on course to break that 32-year record, however.
And if he does just that, the Hammers will have a great chance of finishing inside the top seven this season.
