Javier Hernandez hit a brace as West Ham picked up a much-needed win against Newcastle United.

Hernandez scored twice for the Hammers to inspire them to a 3-0 win at St James’ Park.

And amid widespread speculation about his future, Hernandez let his football do the talking.

The Mexico international did what he does best – scoring goals.

Hernandez has often been starved of service at West Ham but if you create chances for the “Little Pea”, he normally tucks them away.

He opened the scoring after just 11 minutes, sweeping the ball in on the half-volley after Snodgrass delivered an inch-perfect cross.

The 30-year-old then could have had another couple of goals but he didn’t let the missed chances get him down.

In the second-half, Hernandez raced onto a headed through ball by Marko Arnautovic and confidently stroked it past Martin Dubravka.

It was a man of the match display from Chicharito, who needed a big performance to silence some doubters.

After revealing that he would be open to leaving West Ham in January, Manuel Pellegrini gave Hernandez the game time he wanted and he did not disappoint.

Below are what West Ham fans thought about Chicharito’s display.
